I've used HubSpot in my own business for years and there's a few things I know could be better but I've been putting off for a while now.

Not because it was hard. Because sorting it properly meant sitting down and learning more about HubSpot than I currently know — and that's an afternoon I never have. So it stayed on the list.

This morning I gave it to Claude instead because I'd lost something in Hubspot and from past experience I know Claude is pretty good at finding stuff.

Claude found the four records I'd lost track of, sitting in a place I wasn't looking.

Claude told me my plan to fix it was wrong, and explained what to build instead – and we built it.

Then I photographed three pages of handwriting from a manual list made because there was no other way at the time. Seventy-five businesses, matched against three thousand records — every near-miss flagged by Claude for me to approve before anything was written.

Seventy-one records updated.

An hour, start to finish.

Neither Claude nor myself could have done that alone. I know my clients, Claude knows the structure, and the result was a structure and cleaned records that just would have taken me hours and hours.

AI can do an extraordinary amount, but it still needs someone who knows what "right" looks like. Without that guidance, it can head confidently in the wrong direction — and unless you can critically assess the results, you may not even realise it has.
